My Faith Journey

On Throwback Thursdays, I’d like to share a bit of my faith journey with you. When I was a child, my family did not regularly attend worship services.

Oh, we went to Easter Sunrise Services and sometimes to Christmas Eve services, but that was about it.

Fortunately, I had grandmothers who prayed.

They were the first who influenced my future relationship with God.

What about you? Who were the people who first influenced you? Were you a child or an adult? I’d love to hear about your faith journey.

After raising a family and then teaching for over 20 years, I retired from full-time work. Now I spend time with family, tap dance, take long walks in nature, read, and write. I have published two stories in Chicken Soup for the Soul books and over a dozen devotions. My current goal is to publish a book of meditations over the gospels and to share my devotional writing on my blog. I hope you enjoy and are inspired.

  1. Mine began as a child – going to church with parents, being taught and loved by precious Sunday School and VBS teachers and others within the local church: Janice, Corene, Russ, Jeanette, MaryEllen are the names of some of the influencers who come readily to mind. And of course the constant, daily prayers of my Grandmom and Granddad.
