The Lord is Near
Such a reassuring verse, especially during hard times. Lord, thank you for your faithfulness to us. Thank you for being an anchor during the stormy times of life. Forgive me for the times I wallow in my fear or sadness instead of calling on you, my savior and my comforter.
Preach the Gospel
Question: for those of us (most of us) who aren’t trained to “preach,” what are ways that we can share the gospel to others? Can we do it without words? What do you think?

Something to ponder: when you give to the needy, is it out of love and concern for them, or does part of you wish to impress others? Lord, keep my motivation pure. Let me give out of genuine concern for others.

Approaching His Throne
Take a moment to imagine what it might be like to approach God’s throne. Thankfully, through Jesus’ sacrifice we are able to do so. What a humbling experience. Thank you, Father, for providing a way that we can approach you on your throne. Thank you for providing mercy and grace.
Praise God!
Praise God, for He is holy. He has done great things. Thank you Lord, for the many blessings you have bestowed on us. You are all-powerful and all-knowing. You are love and wisdom, and You are love, and You enjoy showering us with good gifts. Praise you, Lord.
Humility
Imagining Jesus washing his disciples’ feet is so humbling. What a beautiful example of being a servant to others. Thank you, Father, for this amazing example of how we should treat others. Give us an attitude of humility, both toward others and toward You. Show us how to lovingly serve others.
